The CCB is extremely proud to be the recipient of over $1.3m in grants from The Hospital Research Foundation (THRF). Thanks to all the generous donors that make these grants possible, THRF for their ongoing support of the CCB, and congratulations to our fantastic researchers who were successful in this round, including: Dr Peer Arts, Dr Damon Tumes, Prof Michael Brown, Dr Tessa Gargett, Dr David Ross, Prof Richard D'Andrea, Prof Angel Lopez, Prof Sharad Kumar, Dr Jantina Manning and Rhys Hamon.

The THRF Early-Career Fellowship was awarded to CCB's Dr Peer Arts: "Characterising haematological malignancies through genetic and immunological evaluation"

The THRF Mid-Career Fellowship was awarded to Dr Damon Tumes: "Toward personalized medicine for allergic airway inflammation and harnessing allergic pathways"

The THRF Translational Grant was awarded to Prof Michael Brown, A/Prof David Ziegler and Dr Tessa Gargett: "Clinical testing of new T-cell therapy for adult and paediatric patients with aggressive primary brain cancers"

The THRF Project Grants were awarded to Dr Ross, Prof D'Andrea & Prof Lopez: "A new immune therapy targeting the myelofibrosis stem cell with CD123 antibody treatment" and Prof Kumar, Dr Manning & A/Prof John Finnie: "Dietary sodium as a modulator of kidney disease" 

The THRF Postgraduate Scholarship was awarded to Rhys Hamon: "The role of 14-3-3 protein in lung cancer initiation, progression and metastasis"
