The CCB has won seven grants totalling more than $5 million from the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), with a success rate twice the national average! Prof Sharad Kumar, received two grants and Prof Stuart Pitson picked up a grant and a coveted Senior Research Fellowship to investigate the treatment of brain tumours, acute myeloid leukaemia and multiple myeloma. Dr Chris Hahn, Dr Phil Gregory, and newly promoted Prof Claudine Bonder were also awarded grants.
