Outstanding achievement: Melissa Bennett is awarded the 2016 MF & MH Joyner Scholarship in Medicine
The CCB Directors, Professors Angel Lopez and Sharad Kumar are pleased to congratulate Ms Melissa Bennett on the prestigious honour of being awarded the 2016 MF & MH Joyner Scholarship in Medicine.
Only the top ranking students in a medicine discipline are considered for this award and only 1 scholarship is allocated each year! The scholarship will support Melissa in her PhD studies in the Molecular Signalling Laboratory of Prof Stuart Pitson, where she is examining ways to improve therapy for multiple myeloma, a currently incurable blood cancer.
Being selected as the top medical research student in South Australia is indeed a huge achievement and privilege and we look forward to great things from Melissa.
